1. The hydraulic oil of the pipe cutting machine should be connected to the proper viscosity. Viscosity is the size of the frictional resistance between molecules when the oil flows. If the viscosity is too high, it will increase the transportation resistance in the pipeline. If the viscosity is too low, it will not guarantee the good lubrication conditions of the pipe cutter. This will aggravate the wear of the pipe cutter's hydraulic system components and increase the leakage of the system, causing the volumetric efficiency of the oil pump to drop.

2. The hydraulic oil of the pipe cutting machine must have good abrasion resistance and lubricity. The goal is to reduce dull friction and ensure the service life of the hydraulic system of the pipe cutting machine.

3. The hydraulic oil of the pipe cutting machine must have good viscosity and temperature. Viscosity temperature refers to the state where the viscosity of oil changes with temperature, and is generally expressed by viscosity index. The higher the viscosity index, the smaller the oil viscosity will drop with the increase in temperature in the hydraulic system of the pipe cutting machine, so that the internal leakage of the hydraulic system will not be too large. The working conditions of the hydraulic system of the pipe cutting machine are consistent and usually more severe. During the working process, the temperature of the hydraulic oil changes with the load and the ambient temperature, and the viscosity index is consistent and usually not less than 90.

4. Pipe cutting oil has good anti-oxidation stability. Anti-oxidation stability refers to the ability of low resistance to react chemically with oxygenates when the oil temperature rises. Practice has proved that every time the oil temperature rises by 10°C, the chemical response speed is about double. The hydraulic oil of the pipe cutter with good oxidation resistance is not easy to be oxidized and deteriorated, which can guarantee the normal circulation of the hydraulic oil.

5. Good shear resistance and stability. In order to improve the viscosity index of the oil, polymethacrylate, polyisobutylene and other high molecular polymers are added to the oil. The molecular chain of these substances is longer, and the oil is subjected to greater shear when flowing through the slits of the hydraulic components. The effect is that the molecular chain will be broken and the viscosity-temperature characteristics of the oil will drop. When the pipe cutting machine is in operation, the reversing valve still changes frequently, and the saving of components requires the hydraulic oil to have strong shear resistance.

6. Hydraulic oil for pipe cutting machine with good anti-emulsification and anti-foaming properties. Demulsibility refers to the ability of oil mixed with water and agitated to become an emulsion and evacuate out of water. Anti-foaming property refers to the ability of the oil to be mixed with the atmosphere and stirred to form an emulsion, and the bubbles are evacuated from the oil. After mixing with water or atmosphere, the volume modulus of the low oil is increased, the compressibility is increased, the hydraulic components of the pipe cutting machine are slow, and it is easy to produce shock and vibration.
